AgeMap

Our mission was to tackle the pressing issue of aging in Barcelona, with a particular emphasis on improving access to health centers. This collaborative project combined demographic insights, spatial analysis, and strategic planning. Projections for Catalonia indicate that by 2052, the population over 65 will reach 2.5 million, accounting for 29% of the total population—a significant 10% increase from current levels. Additionally, the number of people over 85 will more than double. Through precise spatial analysis and strategic insights, AgeMap Barcelona aims to improve quality of life for the elderly, ensuring fair access to essential healthcare and support services.
